At TOR Futbol we have talked a lot about how youth sports have changed over the years. We have noticed that the players at young ages are becoming more stressed and losing confidence. Our goal is to provide more education and knowledge to both players and parents about the important of the player coming first. We need to be able to listen to our athletes to provide them the best possible outcomes. As a staff it is part of our job to understand our athletes. The more we listen to our athletes, the more results we will start to see. It is part of our mission to put the PLAYER FIRST, above all else.

Players come from different backgrounds, learn differently and most important have different goals. No matter the club, the team or their previous experiences, we are here to support them on and off the field, helping them overcome and become the best version on themselves. This game that we all love provides endless amounts of learning opportunities and we need to keep that in the forefront of everything that we do.

What we talk about

  • The emotional side of the game

  • Are Parents listening to their players enough

  • The constant talk about level of play

  • What should we be focused on vs what we do focus on

  • What is missed during the younger ages

  • Change is never ending

OUR values

  • Adaptability: Embracing change, learning from setbacks, and continuously evolving and improving as individuals and in response to challenges and opportunities
  • Commitment: Continue to listen and provide understanding to all of athletes, no matter the level, age or purpose.
  • Competitiveness: We will encourage and teach our players to compete. They will be encouraged to compete with themselves, against teammates and compete to become better. We want our athletes to be motivated to push themselves to be better on a daily basis. Competitive environments help develop resilience and mental toughness for athletes.
  • Development: Prioritizing the development of players, including technical skills, tactical understanding, physical fitness, psychological support and personal growth on and off the field.
  • Discipline: Holding ourselves capable of being the best we can in all aspects of the game on and off the field. This goes for behavioral standards, training commitments, continual improvement and how we develop our athletes overall.
  • Passion: We aim to instill passion for the game in our players, igniting enthusiasm among them and fostering joy and excitement among fellow players and supporters.
